Our Partnership Strategy

The FTT vision will be carried out through partnerships of local churches, denominational leaders, church planters, and indigenous mission agencies across the world.

  • Partner Churches with the assistance of an FTT Advisor will develop partnerships with indigenous or national churches near the unengaged, unreached people groups and plan together how to reach them.
  • Evangelism, discipleship, and church planting will be carried out primarily by national workers living in proximity to the UUPG.  They already know the culture and the trade languages.
  • The primary task of the Partner Church will be to find the right partners near the selected people group, whom they can trust to recruit and train workers, launch evangelistic outreach, begin discipleship groups and form local churches.
  • Denominational mission boards and parachurch organizations will provide assistance as needed.
  • The Partner Church, as a strategic partner in FTT, must be committed to the goal of seeing a church planting movement established among the Unreached People Group that they have engaged.

Unengaged, Unreached People Groups (UUPGs)

These are people groups with no known indigenous reproducing churches.
They are reached through the Regional or National Church.

The Regional or National Church

A regional church is a local church that is located in the same geographic region or has close religious, linguistic, cultural or ethnic ties to the targeted UUPG and is working on a unified strategy with an FTT partner church.  The regional church could also be a strategic partner church for one or several UUPGs in its region.
They are partnered with The Partner Church.

The Partner Church

An FTT partner church is a local church that will take a strategic role in launching a church planting movement among one of the 639 Unengaged, Unreached People Groups (UUPGs).  This could be a local church that functions like a lead partner among a group of other local churches, or it could function as a resource and strategy coordinator for a national church partner that shares the goal.  They have the primary contact with an FTT Church Advisor.

The partner church will also be the church most likely to host an FTT regional vision event.  In this role, the partner church will invite other local churches in its region or within its sphere of influence to join in the Finishing The Task movement as a partner church committed to another UUPG.

They are served by An FTT Church Advisor.

An FTT Church Advisor

FTT Church Advisors are representatives from denominational mission boards or parachurch agencies who are committed to serving local churches and helping them to succeed in this effort.  They will offer strategic counsel to churches seeking to reach one of the 639.  FTT Church advisors will assist Partner Churches in connecting with each other and with agency resources.  They will connect the church with trusted believers and national churches for the formation of UUPG partnerships committed to Finishing The Task.
